Pattern, Texture, and Rhythm
For my pattern , texture and rhythm assignment my subject matter was natural, more specifically a woodpile. In my first photograph, the location was my backyard. In this shot the distance was approximately 3 feet back. In this photograph, I filled the frame with my compositions. This photo was taken from slightly below and to the left of the woodpile. This shot was taken horizontally and the rule of thirds was used in this photograph along with the spiderweb and trees. This photo is a dynamic composition that successfully leads the viewer's eye through the work because the alternating positions of each piece of chopped wood guides you through. The stick point up from the bottom right corner also helps to lead your eye toward the top of the photograph.
